Directorbank is a specialist talent management business that introduces high-calibre entrepreneurial directors to the dynamic private equity industry. It supports investment professionals with a range of portfolio and pre-acquisition recruitment services.
Directorbank felt that it’s previous brand identity had served it well, but needed an overhaul to meet its ambitious growth plans and to stand out in an ever more competitive sector, and the online space was deemed by the client to be the starting point for the developed brand identity.
Initially, a peer review was carried out to asses the web presence of the competition. A simple set of bullet points were drawn up to highlight what worked, and what didn’t work, with each business deemed to be a threat.
From these bullet points it was possible to instantly see the areas in which Directorbank could take advantage of perceived shortcomings among its peers and these areas for leverage were presented as schematic initial designs.
The initial web designs were revisited to ensure they aligned more accurately with the approved brand mark and the desired brand positioning.
Alongside this, more strategic work was carried out in preparing wireframes of the design of key pages to better illustrate to the client the relationship between each page, how the navigation behaved, and typical user journeys through the site.
Finally, designs of all pages of the website were presented as flat designs for approval by the client before the build stage began.
